StyleMatch Privacy Policy

What data we collect

StyleMatch collects the following information that you voluntarily provide during setup:

• Height, weight, age, gender
• Preferred style and skin tone (detected from your photo)
• One profile photo (stored locally on your device)

How your data is used

Your profile photo and body measurements are sent to an AI service (Google Gemini or OpenAI) only when you click "Get Match Score". This analysis returns a compatibility score for the clothing item you are viewing. No data is stored on our servers after the analysis is complete.

Aggregate, anonymised feedback (score ratings like "Too high / Spot on / Too low") may be stored to improve scoring accuracy over time. This data contains no personally identifiable information.

Data storage

• Your profile (photo, measurements) is stored locally in Chrome's storage on your device only.
• Your photo is never uploaded to our servers.
• Anonymous feedback scores are stored in Supabase (ap-south-1 region, India).

Affiliate links

When a clothing item scores 60% or above, StyleMatch may show a "Buy on [Store]" button. These are affiliate links — if you click and make a purchase, we may earn a small commission at no extra cost to you. Clicking these links shares your click data with the respective affiliate network:

• Amazon Associates — clicks on Amazon links are tracked by Amazon. Subject to Amazon's Privacy Policy.
• vCommission — clicks on Myntra and Snitch links are tracked by vCommission. Subject to vCommission's Privacy Policy.

No personal profile data (photo, measurements, skin tone) is shared with affiliate networks. Only standard click tracking (IP address, browser info) applies, as with any web link.

Third-party services

• Google Gemini API — used for AI clothing analysis. Subject to Google's Privacy Policy.
• OpenAI API — optional fallback for AI analysis. Subject to OpenAI's Privacy Policy.
• Supabase — anonymous feedback storage. Subject to Supabase's Privacy Policy.

Data deletion

You can delete all locally stored data at any time by removing the extension from Chrome. To request deletion of any anonymous feedback data, email us at kiran.shivlingkar@nykaa.com.

Children's privacy

StyleMatch is not intended for users under 13 years of age.
